The Rephaim (רְ֝פָאִ֗ים)

Rephaim means fallen ones and is a description of the offspring of demons and humans. We first see them called Nephilim (mutants) prior to the Noahic flood, when the demons forcibly took the daughters of men and bore mutants (Genesis 6:1,4). These are the angels who left their first estate (Jude 6) and were put in chains as a result of their attempt to corrupt not only the seed of humans, but of all biological life (Genesis 6:12). Why would they do this? God had promised Satan that the seed of the woman would crush him, so some of the demons attempted to corrupt all seed so this could not come true (Genesis 3:15). Even after the Noahic flood they attempted it again, which is when they ended up in chains awaiting judgment (Nephilim on the earth in those days and also after – Genesis 6:3). After the flood they are known by different names, along with being referred to as Rephaim (fallen ones). The Moabites called them Emim (Deuteronomy 2:11). The Ammonites called them Samsummim (Deuteronomy 2:20). We see them in the time of Abraham when Chedorlaomer sacked Sodom and took his nephew (Genesis 14:5-16). As part of the land promised to Abraham and his descendants, the land of the Rephaim was given (Genesis 15:18). They were in the promise land and caused the Israelites to fear taking the land (Numbers 13:33). Due to their fight with Moses, the kingdom of Og, one of the last remaining of the Rephaim until the time of King David, resided in Ashtaroth and Edrei (Joshua 13:12) and were destroyed by King David (Deuteronomy 3:11, 13; Joshua 12:4), bringing an end to the Rephaim upon the earth. The […]

Land Promise in the New Heavens and Earth for Abraham and His Seed

And when Abram was ninety-nine years old the, the LORD appeared unto Abram and said unto him, “I am the Almighty God, walk before me and be complete and I will establish My covenant between Me and between you I will make you great by greatly multiplying.” Any Abram fell upon his face and God spoke with him saying, I, behold, My covenant is with you and you will become for a […]

The Second Dispensation

The Dispensation of Conscience

In the Second Dispensation, now that man has the knowledge of good and evil, through his conscience he is to seek out and do good.

Rules for the Second DispensationCain is the Steward of the Dispensation of Conscience.

God gives Cain instructions concerning how he, and those of the household, are to govern their lives. After Cain attempted to offer the works of his hands as a peace offering to God. When God rejects the offer, Cain is very upset. God speaks to him at this time, giving him specific instruction concerning the standard he is to live by.

Whether if you do good, you will be lifted up, but if you do not do good, the sin at the opening is laying and unto you its desire and you are to rule over it, Genesis 4:7

Failure of the Steward:

Rather than doing what is good and offering a peace offering according to how God stated it was to be offered, Cain slays his brother as a sacrifice, since he is seen as righteous. When God confronts Cain on what he has done and punishes him, his response is that his sin nature is very difficult to manage.

Genesis 4:13 – And Cain said to Jehovah, “My perversity is greater than I can bear.”

The reason Cain offered the works of his hand rather than a lamb out from faith was more than just someone wanting recognition for what they had done. Satan had persuaded Cain to follow him rather than God. Cain’s actions were out from what Satan wanted. In his frustration for not getting what he wanted, Cain slew his […]

The Only Acceptable Message for Salvation

Why is the Gospel for Salvation the only acceptable Message for Salvation?

What makes the Gospel Message so important? Is it not sufficient to simply say that if you accept Jesus you are saved? or Jesus died for you? Does it really matter what you believe or just that you believe? To understand why it is so important to accurately present the gospel for salvation today, which is Christ died for your sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures, we are going to look at what God has said throughout the Scripture and the affects on men who either modify God’s word, completely ignore it, or followed exactly what He said.

After renovating the earth [1] due to the fall and judgment of Lucifer who once reigned over the entire created universe as God’s anointed Cherub[2], God planted a garden in Eden[3] and created Adam to tend to the garden[4]. Prior to God building the woman from Adam, He gave instruction to him on how he was expected to govern his life and the consequences of failing to obey His word. Adam was free to eat from all the trees of the garden, except the tree of the knowledge of what is beneficial and what brings calamity in the midst of the garden[5]. God stated, “But from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil do not eat from it because in the day you eat from it dying you will die.”[6] Once Eve was made from Adam’s side, as the steward of his dispensation he passed on the words from God to her; […]
